Our Environmental Vision
At Torque our belief in using and producing sustainable products is paramount in achieving long term global sustainability. As a society we are all responsible for the impact that we have on the environment, and as a team we are actively working on going green.
Our investment in eco-technology and sustainable products as well as our regular reviews of operational processes and systems within our day to day business is just the start. By minimising our packaging use, replacing plastic with recyclable paper based products and installing an air-compressed recycling balers and compactors that assist in reducing our carbon footprint as well as our impact on the environment.
As a team, we take pride in the steps we have taken to align our business and environmental values with key manufacturers and suppliers both here in New Zealand and around the world.

How we are making changes.
Being a large converter of many materials through our print production process we know it is our responsibility to educate our customers and theirs around sustainable products and production processes that have positive impacts on the environment.
We have started by introducing a combination of paper based products made from sustainable forestry and recycled pulp through to reducing PVC based products to PVC-Free, PET and PP based products that can then be recycled or upcycled into new products.
Torque has partnered with OJI New Zealand and their Full Circle Recycling Programme. OJI accept ALL printed card and paper materials. This is then sent to their pulping plant here in New Zealand where it is broken down and used to produce recycled packaging products and in many cases the very stocks that we print our customers POS elements on. This programme offers commercial scale recycling but closes the loop for printed cardboard and paper based products.
We have also been working closely with our supply chain and local companies to reduce the impact from our Auckland production facility. Implementing a range of environmental policies and procedures around our in-house production plant, further investment into new environmental-friendly production equipment and working on recycling programmes tailored to our customer requirements.
